Last night Jim Webb (www.snacksize.com), a web desgin instructor here at the DC campus, presented a showcase on the Gigapan device (www.gigapan.org). The Gigapan is a device that you mount to a tripod and allows you to take multiple shots and then stitch them into a large panoramic picture. The results are very impressive. You can zoom in very close to any spot on a picture and see very fine details. The cool thing is that we will have access to the Gigapan for our use here at CDIA.Visit gigapan.org to see pictures made using this device.
